This work is derived from the research conducted to obtain a Master’s Degree in International Law, Foreign Relations, and International Affairs.

The research examines the structural causes of contemporary forced displacement through a comparative study of Colombia, Venezuela, Afghanistan, and Ecuador, analyzing the impact of authoritarianism, corruption, and political violence on mass migratory movements.

From the perspective of International Refugee Law, Human Rights, and Constitutional Law, the work offers a reflection on the responsibility of States in international migration crises.
